John Simons was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and raised in Orange County, California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at California Baptist University (CBU), M.A. Philosophy & M.Div from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, and is a PhD candidate in Ethics & Public Theology at Southern Seminary. He previously led in Small Group ministry and served as the Men’s Community Pastor at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA.

Currently, John and his family live in Franklin, TN, where he has the privilege of being the Men’s Pastor at Rolling Hills Community Church.

He’s married to Kristen, and has two kids - Noah and Madelyn.

His interests include: Reading all genres of fiction (but favors science fiction and fantasy), conversations on theology, discipleship, ethics, culture/pop-culture, and film. He is also a rather devoted Angels baseball fan but has failed to be intrigued by the favored status of football (either way you mean it). As a way of musical talent, it’s best classified as little to none. However, music is one of his greatest passions, and you’ll find John with headphones in listening to the likes of Johnny Cash, U2, or one of his favorite metal bands.
